The Algo 8028 is a SIP door phone with two components: an intercom speaker that can be installed outside, and a controller device that can be wired to the door strike (door locking mechanism). The second component, the controller, hosts all the required settings including those for SIP.
With this solution, a person can press a button on the intercom, which calls an extension or call queue, allowing the person to talk to someone inside. Whoever is answering the call can then have a conversation with the other party and press a key to unlock the door if they want to allow entry. The most common scenario for this solution is to have the outside intercom dial reception. For example, while on a call with the intercom, reception just has to press 6 on their keypad in order to unlock the door.
