Before transferring your phone number(s) to Versature, there are a few tests we recommend running to ensure your setup works as expected.
Phones
- Make a call to an external number from each phone to ensure that all phones are working and can make calls.
- Check the Caller ID on outbound calls to ensure it looks as desired.
- Does the audio on the calls sound good (any call quality issues?).
- Ensure each extension on the phone screen is installed at the correct workstation or location.
- Practice transferring calls and doing three-way calling (instructions here).
Call Flow (Business Hours)
- Call the temporary number(s) we assigned you.
- If an auto-attendant greeting is supposed to play, is it playing correctly?
- From the auto-attendant greeting, does each keypress (Press 1, Press 2) behave as intended? e.g., do the correct extension(s) ring, or do the correct greeting(s) play?
- If phones are supposed to ring, are the correct phones ringing?
- If no one answers, are the calls redirected to the proper greeting, or to the desired phones?
- If an auto-attendant greeting is supposed to play, is it playing correctly?
Call Flow (After Hours)
- Call the temporary number(s) we assigned you.
- If an auto attendant greeting is supposed to play, is it playing properly?
- From the auto attendant greeting, does each keypress (Press 1, Press 2) behave as intended? e.g., do the correct extension(s) ring, or do the correct greeting(s) play?
- If phones are supposed to ring, are the correct phones ringing?
- If no one answers, are the calls redirected to the proper greeting, or to the desired phones?
- If an auto attendant greeting is supposed to play, is it playing properly?
