DEPLOYMENT TEST PLAN FOR NEW CUSTOMERS

Before transferring your phone number(s) to net2phone Canada, here are a few tests we recommend running to ensure the setup is working as expected.

Prepare Phones

  • Make a call to an external number from each phone to ensure that all phones are working and are able to make calls.
    • Check the Caller ID on outbound calls to ensure it looks as desired.
    • Does the audio on the calls sound good (any call quality issues)?
  • Ensure each extension on the phone screen is installed at the correct workstation or location. 
  • Practice transferring calls and doing three-way calling. 

Call Flow (Business Hours)

Call the temporary number(s) which we assigned you.

  • If an Auto Attendant greeting is supposed to play, is it playing properly?
    • From the Auto Attendant Greeting, does each key-press (Press 1, Press 2) does what it is intended to do? (e.g., does the correct extension(s) ring, or the correct greeting play?)
  • If phones are supposed to ring, are the correct phones ringing?
  • If no one answers, are the calls redirected to the proper greeting, or to the desired phones?

Call Flow (After Hours)

Call the temporary number(s) which we assigned you.

  • If an Auto Attendant greeting is supposed to play, is it playing properly?
    • From the Auto Attendant Greeting, does each key-press (Press 1, Press 2) does what it is intended to do? (e.g., does the correct extension(s) ring, or the correct greeting play?)
  • If phones are supposed to ring, are the correct phones ringing?
    • If no one answers, are the calls redirected to the proper greeting, or to the desired phones?
