Understand net2phone Canada's Proposal Document

Reference this guide after receiving your net2phone Canada sign-up proposal. Each section of the proposal provides key billing information. Use this guide to help you interpret the details shown on your monthly invoice.

Example: new account proposal

Client and Address Information

At the top of the proposal, you'll see the Bill To and Ship To fields containing your organization's Billing and Service Addresses. Billing and Service addresses are often the same, but not always. Review for accuracy before accepting the quote:

  • Bill To: The address where invoices will be sent.
  • Ship To: The physical location where the services or devices will be delivered.

Key Proposal Details

The right-hand section contains essential reference information about your quote. These values help track, validate, and confirm the terms of the agreement. Each field has a specific purpose. Review for accuracy before accepting the quote:

  • Quote Number: A unique identifier used to reference the proposal in internal systems.
  • Date: The date the proposal was issued.
  • Contact: The name of the client or stakeholder receiving the quote.
  • Valid Until: The offer's expiration date. The quote must be accepted before this date to guarantee pricing and terms.
  • Term (in Months): The agreed duration of service. Typically, this is a 36-month (3-year) contract, unless otherwise specified.

One-Time Charges

The first table section displays any non-recurring setup or activation fees. Review for accuracy before accepting the quote:

  • Quantity: The number of units associated with the one-time product or service.
  • Product: The description of the one-time item, such as activation.
  • Unit Price: The per-unit cost of the one-time item.
  • Total: The total one-time charge based on quantity.

Monthly Charges

The second table within the quote outlines recurring services and features that will be billed monthly. Review for accuracy before accepting the quote:

  • Quantity: The number of licenses, feature bundles, or device rentals.
  • Product: The name or type of monthly service, such as a Business Select Feature Bundle or Hardware Rental.
  • Unit Price: The cost per unit, per month.
  • Total: The extended monthly cost (quantity multiplied by unit price).

Regulatory and Administrative Fee

A regulatory disclaimer outlines any additional charges at the bottom of the monthly section.

Monthly charges do not include a 6% Regulatory Recovery and Administrative Fee, which is applied to all recurring charges. This percentage is subject to change and will be reflected on the monthly invoice.

Summary Table

A simplified cost breakdown is presented at the bottom of the proposal for easy reference. Review for accuracy before accepting the quote:

  • One-Time Fees: The total of all one-time fees listed above.
  • Monthly Fees: The subtotal of recurring monthly charges, not including taxes or regulatory fees.

Acceptance and Activation

To proceed with service activation, you must digitally review and accept the quote. Select “I Accept This Quote” to indicate agreement to the listed terms and initiate the Service Agreement process.
