Making Calls with Sonar Phone
Your computer speakers and microphone will directly impact your audio quality; for the best audio quality, we recommend pairing the Sonar Phone with a quality headset.
- Log in to the Sonar client portal with net2phone Canada credentials.
- Open the Sonar Phone app by clicking the link at the top of the page.
- Click the Dial Pad icon to open the numerical key menu.
- Either:
- Enter the outbound number you want to call.
- Search for a contact.
- Click the green phone icon to send the call.

Receiving Calls with Sonar Phone
If you plan to answer incoming calls using your Sonar web phone, make sure notifications are enabled, your answering rules route calls to your “wp” device, and your volume is turned up so you can hear the phone ringing.

Transfer Calls from Sonar Phone
You can transfer a call to an internal contact or an external number.
Which should I use: Blind or Attended Call Transfers?
The default transfer type is Attended.
- While on a call, click the Transfer icon.
- Choose either:
- Contacts to select a contact, or,
- Dial Pad to enter an external outbound number.
- After entering the number or selecting a contact, click the Call icon.
- Choose to perform a Blind (unannounced) or Attended/Assisted (announced) call transfer.
- Click Complete Transfer before you end the call.

Merge for Conferences Calls with Sonar Phone
Initiate conference calls with Sonar Phone using Merge. To join multiple calls together for a conference call follow the steps below.
- While on a call, click the Add Call option.
- Select either internal contacts or dial an external number.
- Click the green phone icon to send the new call; this will automatically place the first caller on hold.
- Once the new caller has answered, click Merge to join all calls; this will automatically take the first caller off hold.
